On July 30, 2008, at 2:46 am you came into our lives. We immediately fell in love with you and were so happy you were able to join our family. You announced your arrival with a powerful set of lungs, but immediately calmed down when you were in Mommy's arms. How peaceful it felt to hold you for the first time, knowing you were just in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
You captured Daddy's heart right from the beginning. You are his pride and joy.
You were such a well behaved baby- we didn't hear you really cry (besides when you were first born) for a few days. Mommy and Daddy were still learning how to take care of you and you were very patient with us.
You loved to make funny faces. This was when Daddy asked if you had been good for Mommy that day. I guess you were just thinking of what to say...
Your first holiday was Halloween. Mommy was so excited to dress you up and show you off to everyone. You held onto your Tinkerbell wand the entire time we went "trick or treating" at Daddy's work. Everyone thought you were so cute!
You have always been very curious about the world around you. You were a pro at tummy time because you wanted to see what was going on all the time!
When we took you to Temple Square with Papa to see the lights, Mommy wanted to make sure you were extra warm. You were so cute in your little snowsuit!
After you started using your walker you always wanted to help Mommy with the dishes. You would get so excited and run to help... sometimes running over Mommy's toes and crashing into the dishwasher.
You learned how to sit up all by yourself when you were 5 1/2 months old! Good job!
You always love to make us laugh. You make silly noises and faces and you love to giggle when you hear us laughing. You certainly bring a lot of happiness to our lives!
You also have a very independant attitude. Most of the time you love to give us kisses, but sometimes you just don't feel like it.
You are very determined. You know what you want and nothing will stop you from getting it. You are so clever and are always learning new tricks and Mommy has to try to keep up with you.
You always love to help Mommy with the laundry. You love to empty the basket and hand Mommy the clothes to fold. What a great helper!
You're such a little water baby. You love the tub and recently we took you to Great-Grandma Fullmer's to swim in the big pool. You had a great time and were a pro at kicking and splashing!
You are so silly!
Being a year old means you get to enjoy a lot more foods than you could before. When Mommy was eating a fudge bar the other night, you kept looking at her with longing eyes and Mommy just had to share with you. You sure did enjoy it!
Happy Birthday my sweet little angel. Mommy and Daddy love you very much and are so glad you are in our lives. We can't wait for all the new and exciting things you'll learn this year!
